What is the Journey to Encountering Jesus?

The Journey to Encountering Jesus is a multi-day event that is designed to present Christ in a way that challenges, inspires, and equips you for daily life.

Where are the Journey events held?

Each Journey event location is in South Central Kentucky. Exact locations are dependant on availability and can change from event to event.

What are the Journey's core beliefs?

Our core belief is that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, the life, and that salvation comes from Christ alone.

Do I need to believe in Jesus to attend?

While not required, it is beneficial to already have already accepted Christ as your savior.

Is the journey to Encountering Jesus a church?

We are not a church, we do not hold regular services weekly. We are made up of members from Jesus Christ's church and we participate in Jesus' work.

What are the age requirments for attending a Journey?

Teen Journeys are a minimum of 14 years old and a maximum of 18 years old. Adult Journey's are for 19 years old and above.

What denomination does Journey belong to?

No single denomination oversees Journey. The board of directors (found below) is comprised of local community members from multiple denominations.

Do I need to know a lot of theology to attend?

Absolutely not. The material covered is designed to be understood by all walks of live and stages of faith.

How is it funded?

There is a cost to attend a Journey Weekend, but other donations help us keep costs down. If you would like to support, please visit our donate page.

Are the events coed?

The adult events are not co-ed. The teen events are co-ed. There are separate sleeping quarters for the teen Journey.

How do I stay connected?

Our website will have all of our events, but you can also follow our social media presence on Facebook.

What is the cost to attend?

While costs may change over time, the cost to attend is approximately $80. Scholarship opportunities exist if this is prohibitive.

Are there meetings that discuss updates?
